Wedding Wednesday: Save the Dates

Happy Wednesday! Having just gotten married, I have acquired so much information about wedding planning and thought why not share here.  So, im going to start a Wedding Wednesday and post something each week!

I love stationary and as a result, had the hardest time choosing my save the dates and invitations.  I wanted every detail to be perfect and felt that there were so many choices.  Ultimately, I splurged on my save the dates and went simple on the invitations. The save the dates were from this amazing printshop, Julie Holcomb. You send her studio an image (in our case, a jpeg of a painting of Nantucket where we were getting married) and they transfer it onto beautiful thick cardstock, giving it a watercolor feel.  I have one framed in my living room now because its so much more beautiful than regular stationary.    Here was ours:
The cards were 5x7 and very thick, with a red edging to make the card a bit more vibrant.

We went simple on the text, the photo was meant to speak for itself.

We loved our Save the Dates and definitely recommend using Julie Holcomb! Check out her website and more of her work here.
